A Message from the Chairperson
As the Chairperson of the Independent Examinations Committee (I.E.C) of the General Legal Council (GLC), it is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the I.E.C website.
The IEC aspires to be a credible, efficient and effective examination body, serving the interests of the GLC, the Legal Profession and students of Law in Ghana with dedication and integrity.
The mission of the IEC is to conduct examinations on behalf of the General Legal Council of Ghana for the professional qualification and certification of Lawyers. This mandate covers both entrance and exit examinations of the Professional Law Course (P.L.C) as offered by the Ghana School of Law. To this end, the IEC assembles a large number of experts across the profession to determine and maintain academic and ethical professional standards in the certification of Lawyers in Ghana.
The IEC will continue to work closely with key stakeholders in designing policies and strategies to ensure continued improvement of the system of examinations and other forms of assessment within the professional law environment.
